Children's Art Classes
Beginning in February, Adele Seitzinger will be offering basic art
classes for children, grades 1-8. Join Ms. Adele as we learn together
the basics of drawing and shading, adding color with colored
pencils, pastels, and more. Adele has taught art to children and
adults for over 30 years. She is well known in the local art community
and often shows her work at the Art Prowl and Fun Fest.

The class will meet from 4:00-5:00 pm every Thursday at the Cumberland
Art Society Gallery on Walnut Street. The dates will be February
18-March 25. Cost for the 6 week class is $75 per student and will
include all materials.

Fibers Workshops
Join Adele Seitzinger as she leads workshops in various fibers media
such as dyeing silk scarves, felting, embroidery and beadwork. See
samples of the potential projects at the art center in February or
some of her fiber arts at threadzart.etsy.com . Adele has always had a
love for anything to do with fibers, having started knitting,
crocheting and weaving as a child sitting by her mother’s side.
Today, there are so many great things you can do with fibers by
combining various techniques. You are sure to come away with skills
you can use for m any projects in the future.

These workshops are geared for adults, but mature 7th - 12th graders
can also participate, especially if signing up with an adult
participant.

Here is the schedule of what is being taught each week for
the fibers workshops:

March 1 Colorful silk scarves
March 8 Beadery
March 15 Felting Basics
March 22 Pin Weaving

Each workshop can be taken alone, or get a discount by signing up for
the whole 4 week series. These workshops will be at the end of Monday Open Painting days from 2-4 p.m., meeting on March 1-March 22 at the
Cumberland Art Society. Cost is $20 a workshop and includes materials
or sign up for all four for $75. Call the Cumberland Art Society at
