Jerry Stout

My name is Jerry Stout, and I am a rural area artist living in Granville....a small community nestled in the Upper Cumberland region of Middle Tennessee. Several years ago I built a birdhouse on a dare.....and I must say, it turned out pretty good.  I took it to work and sold it...plus more, and then more.

I knew then I was on to something. After months of learning and making several mistakes...I began making other things and soon had enough to do my first craft show...and then a second, and a third, etc..... I was hooked!!!

I met lots of people from my area as well as surrounding counties......and made many friends who share my interests. I joined an arts and crafts guild, and put my works of art  in a small shop.

Now I had a "craft show" seven days a  week, and I didn't even have to be there all the time. That  was a good thing since also have a 40 hour a week job to support this "habit".

That was over eight years ago, and after getting involved with several art and craft groups it only seemed right to start a new venture and open my own art gallery. I guess you can say that I  have come full circle...and ...I LOVE IT!!

During this circle of change my 'craft' has turned more to 'art'. I am now painting on canvas and other surfaces and creating whimsical/folk artwork...framed and ready to hang.

As well as working on my NEW artwork...

I continue to make my unique "Pot-Heads".
