I consider myself a 'Colorist'.   I see the world as a colorful, emotional and beautiful picture.  It gives me pleasure to create art that causes people to feel something.  My styles vary from tame, realistic to bold, outlandish abstracts.  I  work with watercolor and acrylic and enjoy mixing medias for the most unique pieces. 

I have been painting off and on, since I was a kid.  I have taken a few classes here and there but mostly I am self-taught.  I guess artistic talent runs in my family, my mom is a painter and a great, great aunt was once Director of Art at Tennessee Tech. University here in Cookeville, TN.


I see most people fill their homes with cheap prints from the local department stores. But for me, there's something a bit sad in knowing that the thing you own is a copy and thousands of others have exactly the same thing.  Originals are often not thought of as being affordable and therefore out of reach.

In my work, I strive to combine uniqueness with affordability.  I believe that one-of-a-kind artwork is something you can own even on a budget.
